Blade Designs
Epic Large Wing (Bennett K Series Model) – has a large blade designed for men’s sprint racing. The Large Wing provides a strong catch and powerful stroke with very stable tracking in the water.
Epic Mid Wing (Bennett Sprint Model) – is a good all around medium size wing blade for marathon K-1 and distance surf ski racing. It’s also the perfect sprint paddle for women and junior competitors, or those who want to do high performance touring with a wing paddle. Also excellent choice for sprint surf ski paddlers.
Epic Small/Mid Wing (Bennett Angel Wing) - A new addition to Epic wing blades. The same as the mid wing only better suited to ladies and paddlers who prefer less blade area.

Shaft Stiffness Options – Our paddles are available with 3 shaft types to fit your paddling needs.
Stiff (Blue) Shaft – Recommended for sprint racers and those who want minimal flex in their paddle shaft. This is the standard shaft with most carbon wing (large) blades. Very limited stock available in this configuration.
Medium (Burgundy) Shaft – Our lightest shaft with full carbon fibre construction, good durability and medium flex. This is standard shaft with most carbon touring blades. Not suited to surf paddling as it is not as strong as the hybrid shaft.
Hybrid (Green) Shaft – Carbon fiber / Fiberglass hybrid has slightly more flexibility to absorb shock. This is the standard shaft with most hybrid blades. suited to all paddling conditions.
Care
To prolong the life of your Epic paddle, rinse in fresh water after use and store in its’ cover. If the paddle gets scratched, restore by light sanding and polishing with car wax. Chips can be filled with epoxy. Do not leave your paddle in direct sunlight for long periods of time. Treat your paddle with care for a long life of optimal performance.
Epic Kayaks, Inc. warrants all products to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for one year from date of purchase. If damage is due to manufacturer’s defect, the paddle will be repaired or replaced by Epic Kayaks, Inc. at no charge. This warranty is void if damage is caused by accident or abuse.
Shaft Configurations - Epic Paddles come with a shaft that is oval in the grip area. This makes for a more natural and less fatiguing grip on the paddle. Because the shaft is oval, the shaft is specifically built to match the feather angle (offset) of the blades.
A). Epic One Piece Paddle – The paddle is pre-assembled to the desired length and feather angle. Standard feather angles are 65 degrees right control. A one-piece paddle is the lightest configuration available and good for those who don’t need the versatility of a break apart paddle.
B). Epic Length-Lock™ Paddle – Adjustable length and feather angle. The Length-Lock™ paddle is fastened in the middle with an easily adjusted screw on plastic collar. To change the paddle length or angle, loosen the collar (a turn is all it takes). Using the calibrated grid, line up the feather angle between the red marks, set your length (10cm of adjustment) and tighten the collar. Changing the setting or breaking it down for travel is easier than opening a twist-cap jar. Special made Epic spanner is provided for those who tighten too much by hand to loosen and dismantle.

2. Burgundy / mid (thin wall, ultra light model, suit marathons, junior males and females. Not recommended for surf ski racing in waves.
3. Blue / stiff – best suited to open level flat-water kayak paddlers, in particular males.
