Bennett Noserider

Bennett Noserider 'old skool' style soft railer that sure to impress log riders and those surfers just looking for a very relaxed 'cruisy' style of longboard.

Isaac Fields Model

New to the Bennett range of classic styled longboards is the Isaac Fields model. Isaac is a young surfer from Evans Head in NSW and a real fine old mal surfer. Here's a little how this has come about in Isaac's words...

"After completing a primary school teaching degree and living in China and Sweden I returned home eager to get back into surfing. Having sold all of my boards to fund my travels, I returned home boardless so I raided dad’s collection and found a 1967 stringerless Barry Bennett that had always seemed to work for me. I loved how the rolled bottom made the turns really smooth, and how the hippy tail somehow helped hold the board in place when noseriding in extremely critical sections of the wave.

This became my board of choice when the surf was small, when the surf increased in size I found some 1970’s single fin shortboards to ride. The clean smooth lines, speed and barrel riding capabilities of these boards make them amazing to surf in a way that is going with the natural flow of the wave rather than ripping it apart.

Shortly after returning home from my travels, the Evans Head Longboard Invitational 2007 was on. I entered the Old Mal division and was fortunate enough to win my first contest on the Stringerless Bennett. I remember thinking at that time how amazing this board would be surfing the points at Noosa, and decided to compete in the prestigious Noosa Festival of Surfing 2008. The waves were pumping and the Old Mal heats were all held at First Point. Luck went my way, and I managed to win my second event on the old Bennett.

After Noosa I continued to take the stringerless Bennett to surf at contests held at breaks that suited surfing an old mal."..Isaac Fields

The Isaac Fields model has been shaped off Isaac's original Bennett '67 old mal. Right down to the rocker curve, all details of this board have been replicated with precision. A small refinement has been made to the rails towards the nose end of the board to make it more 'foregiving'. If you're looking for a classic 60's style log with amazing noseriding capabilities then look no further than the Isaac Fields Model, exclusive to Bennett Surfboards.
